Abducted Four-Year-Old from Chicago in Arizona or Texas?


Chicago police are asking for the public's help in locating a 4-year-old girl who was abducted Monday morning from the Englewood community on the city’s South Side. Riley Batts, 4, was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Monday September 23, 2024 in the 5500 block of South Lowe Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood near Kipp Bloom Primary School. Police say she was abducted by her non-custodial parent. Her mother, Jaasia K. Batts, suffers from a mental illness and is unable to care for the child, according to family members who have spoken with the media. According to unconfirmed reports, Riley and Jaasia could be in the San Antonio, Texas area or perhaps have crossed into Arizona.

• Height: 2'0"
• Weight: 35 lbs
• Hair: Black
• Eye's: Brown
• She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans at the time of her abduction.

Jaasia Batts, who is believed to have taken the child, has tattoos on one arm, along with a percing above her top lip and three nostril piercings.
Riley's great uncle said, Riley is smart, loves gymnastics, cheerleadering and reading.
