Keshun Collins Missing from Chicago

Keshun Collins has been missing from Chicago since September 2021.

Police in Chicago are still searching for a missing 14 year-old from the city’s South Side who disappeared back in September. Keshun Collins was last seen Sept. 2 at approximately 9 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Marshfield Avenue. Keshun may be missing in the area of 6000 to 6500 South Cottage Grove Avenue or 6000 to 6500 South Ellis Avenue. His family said he was visiting his great aunt's home, which he typically does. Keshun was supposed to move to Houston, Texas with his father on Sept. 3.

Collins is described as jokester and typical teen.

Steven Collins, the boy’s father, said his son is a jokester who is just getting into girls and living the life of a typical teen. They were seeking to move to Houston because the elder Collins thought Chicago was becoming too dangerous to raise his child.

“I’m broken inside as a parent and a father,” Mr. Collins said to media outlet NewsNation. “I wouldn’t leave my son with anyone who I felt uncomfortable with or had to second-guess. This has been a nightmare. But, I’m not going to stop looking for him.”

Police say Collins is an endangered youth and his family is not sure if he ran away because he didn’t want to move to Texas or some other reason. Collins is 5’1” and weighs 95 lbs. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Chicago Police Department at (312) 747-8274.
