Joliet Teen Feared to be Trafficking Victim

A 16 year-old from Joliet who has been missing since January is feared to be a victim of sex trafficking, according to her father. Carson A. McCarty was last seen in January of this year. She suffers from depression and bipolar disorder and her family is worried that someone has taken advantage of her. She was last seen in the 1600 block of Washington Street in Joliet, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Department. Law enforcement also believes that she could have runaway from home, but would not provide further details.

McCarty is listed as being 5’6” tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has brown hair that could be in either a short or long style. She was last seen wearing white winter coat, blue jeans, black boots and carrying a green back pack.
