Arkansas Youth Coach Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Authorities in Little Rock, Arkansas have arrested the director of a youth basketball program and charged him with 150 counts of distribution and/or possession of child pornography. According to documents obtained from the Little Rock Police Department, Taylor Rogers, born 5/23/1993 was arrested on May 19th at a home in the 550 block of Highland Drive after police armed with a search warrant, entered the residence and found child porn materials. Rogers is a former elementary computer science teacher at LISA Academy North.
Rogers is currently listed as the director of HBLA sports in Roland and has also spent time as a coach when he was employed a LISA Academy North. Rogers left the school in June of 2021. Police also seized a computer from the 550 block of Highland Drive home that is currently being examined by investigators. Rogers, who according to county records and who has a picture on his Twitter account of him being recently married in March of 2022, is being held on a $100,000 bond in Pulaski County Arkansas.
Police say they believe Rogers may have been selling child porn materials to others. Calls seeking comment were made to HBLA but no one answered. HBLA is listed as a travel basketball program where youth, boys and girls travel throughout the county to different basketball tournaments. Rogers has coached boys and girls on the junior high and middle school level, according to his own Linkedin account. His Facebook account page has now been deleted. Rogers and his wife Mellissa recently had a home built and friends of the couple were excited to seem them just starting out their lives together.
