You have made the New Year’s resolution that you are going to get in shape and drop the weight? Well, it’s just the first day so your workout is going to feel great today and maybe even tomorrow.  But by Jan. 3rd, you are sure to start feeling the soreness and aches from your new endeavor. However, there is help available thanks to the latest technology from DNA Vibe in the form of their Jazz Band.

The product uses red light, magnetic, micro-vibration and infrared therapies to concentrate of areas of the body that may be troubling you to promote healing of the muscles and reduce soreness by increasing blood flow so you can get back in the gym.

The Jazz Band is used by professional athletes like bobsledder Aja Evans, MMA fighter Grant Neal and golfer Shasta Averyhardt just to name a few. The product is easy to use and is made in the United States.

Perry Kamel serves as the Chairman and CEO of DNA Vibe. He is also one of the co-founders of the product and often jokes that he was “patient zero.” Kamel said the Jazz Band is seeing substantial growth as more people are looking for ways to quickly and efficiently recover from their workouts and addressing nagging issues.

DNA Vibe CEO Perry Kamel recommends using the Jazz Band twice a day for 30 minutes to start seeing results between 14 and 30 days.

“We’re very scientific in terms of how we design our product,” Kamel says. “It emits a specific frequency of red light, magnetic, micro vibrations and infrared light, and that combination stimulates the body’s natural processes to help accelerate recovery.”

Kamel said 97 percent of their customers have reported positive results. He said while the athletes are their ambassadors, the product is used by people of all ages including seniors who don’t want to decrease their activities just because they are getting older.

For golfer Averyhardt, she said traveling on the pro golf tour can be grueling and one of the ways she uses the product is at night after working out or playing rounds of golf to aide in her recovery. She has had bouts with lower back pain and tightness and said the Jazz Band has helped her tremendously.

“When you are traveling, practicing, playing and still trying to lift weights, I need to find a way to sustain myself in a short amount of time,” Averyhardt said. “This works for me all day because I can use it while I’m traveling or while at home.”

Kamel recommends that people use the Jazz Band twice a day for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. He said the Jazz Band’s flexible design allows users to place the product on their knee, ankle, back or any number of problem areas on the body.

“The good thing is you can use the Jazz Band while you are watching your favorite television show or simply reading a book,” said Kamel, who was a ball boy for Billie Jean King when he was a kid and is an active tennis player. “About four years ago, I had a tennis elbow so bad I could barely pick up a racket, let alone swing it. I put this on for two weeks and my tennis elbow was gone and has not come back.”

Chicago native and Olympic bobsledder Aja Evans is an ambassador for the Jazz Band. Applying the product that uses infrared red light technology directly to the skin produces the best results for muscle recovery, according to DNA Vibe CEO Perry Kamel.

People usually start seeing results after the using the product between 14 and 30 days of consistent use of the product, according to Kamel. The product is fairly easy to use. It comes with two straps and the device itself. Use the straps to wrap the band around the part of the body you want to treat, connect it to a power source, download the DNA Vibe app and you are good to go.

Battery and car charge capability add more flexibility in terms of places where you can use it. The most common way you can use it is by simply plugging it into an electrical outlet as the 10-foot cord is pretty long.

One thing I noticed when using the product is that sometimes you will lose connection with the app in the middle of a session and you must wait until that session ends before starting a new one. Other times the app connection is weak, but I learned if you unplug the product and then plug it back in, the connection will start right up.

It is important to note that different people will find different results when using the product, according to Kamel. It should also be noted that the Jazz Band needs to be applied directly to the surface of the skin of the body part being treated in order to work.

I used the product for 30 days and concentrated on my lower back region. It just so happened I had pulled a muscle in that area a few days before the product had arrived while I was golfing. It is an injury I’ve suffered before and it usually takes about 14 days to fully recover. In combination with other treatments like icing the area, resting and doing light stretching, I used the Jazz Band. It definitely shortened my usual recovery time by five days, in which I was back on the golf course using my normal swing.

The DNA Vibe Jazz Band sells for $199 for a base model and up to $289 for the power bundle, which includes a cordless power pack and car adapter. You can purchase the item here: dnavibe.com/infinity?ref=8660
